Mummified

I have always loved the rugged and imperfection of design. One day I dreamt of a mummy museum that I visited in Mexico when was 8 years old. I love and hate dreams, nightmares that I convert into creative realities. for about 2 years of just kept the idea of rugged, mummified looking pants. Then I was finally able to make them for Project Funway, a local Lincoln Fashion show with local and University of Nebraska-Lincoln students presenting. Now I didn't win anything but I won the compliments of all kinds of people and created a polarizing TikTok video. Nontheless, I made something that got peoples attention, wowed some and shocked others.

This ensemble was made in an upcycled fashion. The pants were owned by me for about a year and I added 3 denim pants in strips to it. The top was a jean jacket that my mom had since the 80's and gave to me in high school. I cut the sleeves off and added zippers so I could create a jean vest whenever I wanted.
